Oakridge Park to Open May 28
After years of anticipation, delays, speculation, and endless glimpses behind construction walls, Vancouver’s most ambitious retail redevelopment is finally ready to open its doors.
On May 28, Oakridge Park officially debuts to the public, marking a major turning point not only for Vancouver retail, but for the entire city’s luxury and lifestyle landscape.
And make no mistake — this is far more than just a shopping mall.
Developed by QuadReal Property Group and Westbank, the reimagined Oakridge Park represents a complete transformation of the former Oakridge Centre into a massive mixed-use urban destination spanning approximately 650,000 square feet in its first retail phase alone.
The vision? To create a “city within a city” where luxury retail, dining, wellness, residences, office space, art, and community experiences all intersect.
And judging by the tenant list, Vancouver is about to enter a new era.
Luxury heavyweights including Chanel and Ferragamo will join an already impressive lineup featuring Louis Vuitton, Prada, Rolex, Tiffany & Co., Canada Goose, Aritzia, and lululemon.
For years, Vancouver’s luxury retail scene often felt fragmented — impressive, but scattered. Oakridge Park changes that overnight by creating a concentrated global luxury destination that feels more akin to Singapore, Dubai, or Tokyo than traditional Canadian retail.
But fashion is only part of the story.
One of the most anticipated additions is Time Out Market Vancouver, bringing together some of the city’s most recognizable culinary names under one roof. Visitors will be able to sample concepts from Feenie’s, Lunch Lady, Via Tevere, DownLow Chicken, Kishimoto, Heritage Asian Eatery, Santo Taco, Barnacle by Bar Bravo, and several others — creating what could quickly become one of Vancouver’s top dining destinations.
Meanwhile, the new Delysees Champagne Bar aims to add a touch of European-style glamour to the experience, positioning Oakridge Park not simply as a place to shop, but a place to socialize, celebrate, and linger.
And perhaps that is the biggest shift of all.
Traditional malls were designed around transactions. Oakridge Park is being built around experiences.
The development plans include year-round programming ranging from fashion activations and wellness events to live music, art installations, floral exhibitions, and fitness classes. Opening celebrations throughout June will feature performances, complimentary pilates and ballet classes, floral displays by Fleurs de Villes, and curated luxury experiences designed to blur the lines between retail and lifestyle.
The scale of the redevelopment has also dramatically reshaped the surrounding neighbourhood. The project has already sparked numerous nearby residential, student housing, and mixed-use developments, transforming the Oakridge corridor into one of Vancouver’s fastest-evolving urban districts.
Of course, the road to opening has not been entirely smooth. Originally expected to launch in fall 2025, construction delays pushed the debut into 2026 — only intensifying curiosity around what many have called Vancouver’s most ambitious retail project in decades.
Now, the wait is finally over.
Whether Oakridge Park becomes the defining luxury and lifestyle destination its developers envision remains to be seen. But one thing is already certain: Vancouver has never seen anything quite like this before.
