Graham 1695 Chronofighter Vintage Pulsometer

Graham watches are getting more and more recognition in the watch world. Graham was actually the surname of George Graham, an inventor and master watchmaker from London, born in 1673. His technological prowess gave inspiration to the Graham Watch company, who manufacture their watches at their own production facilities in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the watchmaking capital of Switzerland.

Obviously, a Graham watch has some very unique features. They are characterized by strong, bold lines with noticeably larger accents than the average watch, such as big pushes and big hands.

Graham has now added another model to this collection – the new Chronofighter Vintage Pulsometer, released in two steel limited editions of 250 pieces each,. And yes, we got our hands on a very special one: 000/250.

At 44mm it is still a bold watch but rather small for a Graham. It features a beautiful redesigned start-stop trigger with a knurled onion crown and a mushroom-shaped reset pusher, giving it a toned-down, more restrained classic look of the ‘Vintage’ Chronofighter. It has a slightly domed sapphire crystal and sapphire case back and is 100 m water-resistant.

Why Pulsometer? This is a so-called doctor’s watch and feature a scale allowing a simple and reliable rapid heart rate reading. The doctor starts the chronograph, counts a determined number of pulsations (usually it is calibrated for 15 or 30), and then stops the chronograph to read the patient’s pulse per minute on the pulsometric scale.

The Chronofighter Vintage Pulsometer Ltd is powered by the automatic calibre G1718, based on the reliable Valjoux 7750 workhorse with a two-day power reserve.

A nice touch:

Every watch comes with a warranty certificate fashioned in the shape of a passport, signed by one of their certified watchmakers.
