JASON WILBUR – The Architect of Time

 In Watches

Some watches tell time. Others tell stories. But WILBUR stages a spectacle.

Born out of rebellion, precision engineering, and a fascination with mechanical art, WILBUR doesn’t just track hours — it redefines how we experience them.

Jason Wilbur’s journey is anything but conventional. A designer who once led Honda’s Advanced Design Studio in Los Angeles, Wilbur’s world revolved around concept cars, racing innovations, and autonomous technology. But even that world felt too small. For him, true creativity meant breaking boundaries — and he found his next frontier not on four wheels, but on the wrist.

The Genesis of WILBUR

Since childhood, Jason Wilbur dreamed in machines — jet packs, rockets, and wild contraptions that blurred the line between man and machine. At the Art Center College of Design, he learned that great design is about more than aesthetics; it’s about intent and emotion. Watches became his ultimate creative canvas — kinetic sculptures that merge power, precision, and identity.

He doesn’t make watches. He builds supermachines.

The DEVON TREAD 1

Before WILBUR carried his name, it carried his vision. As a student, he imagined a timepiece driven by moving belts — inspired by motorcycle drives. That concept became the 2010 Devon Tread 1, a revolutionary design that shook the watch world and proved Wilbur’s genius years before launching his own brand.

The EXP – The Everyday Rebel

The EXP embodies WILBUR’s design philosophy: bold architecture, exposed mechanics, and high-performance aesthetics. With its nine-part exo-chassis case and skeletonized construction, it feels like a time machine built for speed. The new EXP 2.0, launching this fall, evolves that vision — a watch for collectors who crave audacity without compromise.

The LEO – A Horological Hypercar

If the EXP is the daily driver, the LEO is the hypercar. Seven years in the making, with the proprietary WILBUR Engine One movement crafted with Concepto in Switzerland, the LEO delivers pure mechanical theatre. Limited to just 25 pieces/ model, it’s the pinnacle of modern horology — raw, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore.

The Flat Six – The Future Untamed

Coming soon, the Flat Six pushes boundaries even further. Featuring a tourbillon architecture, a patent-pending piston-hour display, and a machined sapphire case, it’s a statement of intent priced between $120K and $150K. This isn’t a watch. It’s a declaration that WILBUR is here to lead, not follow.

Unapologetic. Unstoppable.

Where others lean on heritage, WILBUR leans into the future. It’s a brand for collectors who demand individuality, innovation, and emotion in motion.

“In a world where too many designs fade into the background,” Wilbur says, “I want to build machines that are impossible to ignore.”

For those who crave a timepiece with a pulse, WILBUR isn’t just a brand — it’s the next chapter of horological evolution.
