A few weeks ago, we dropped off a few parts at Surrey-based INC Ridez, a shop well-known in the car world here in BC.

Roop Gossal, owner and Head Installer and an automotive enthusiast himself, has over 17 years of experience in the car audio industry and started his own business 12 years ago.

Specializing in luxury and exotic vehicles, INC Ridez does not only install audio, video and security equipment; they also offer custom bespoke upholstery that has won numerous awards over the years.

“Our Upholstery team has over 25 years of combined experience in the automotive upholstery industry,” says Gossal. “We’ve worked on everything from the brand new Lamborghini, straight from the showroom floor, to a 1950’s ford pick up and even an 18 wheeler truck.”

When we dropped off the parts for our upcoming project car (stay tuned…), we couldn’t help but notice a gorgeous 1969 Camaro that just got the finishing touches to the custom interior.

“The engine, a LS7, was done by Sharp Touch Restorations, and we did the full interior,” Gossal explains. “Suede headliner and dash, custom door panels and rear panels that we created from scratch. We also built a custom console but the best part is clearly the trunk! All custom-built parts are held together by magnets, using Sinatra board instead of wood. And – we didn’t drill a single hole in the car!”

As for the audio, an Alpine radio was fitted with Focal speakers in custom kick pods. Add a JL Subwoofer, Focal amps hidden behind the panels in the trunk, and sound deadening with SoundMats and you get the picture. INC Ridez finished off the interior with seat covers from TMI.

“It wasn’t our most complicated built, but it really updates the car without changing the look or taking away from the space. Which is what the client wanted,” says Gossal. “We hold our reputation on the satisfaction of our clients, to accomplish what our clients would like. Some services we provide are offering advice to our clients, designing according to what the client wants, and also confer with the client prior to continuing with any jobs.”
